I’m here to challenge you, support you, and help you move forward.

I work with adults and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or worn down by stress, relationships, or their careers. Many of my clients are high achievers—therapists, professors, executives, physicians—who appear put together on the outside but are quietly struggling on the inside. They’re tired of falling into the same cycles and come to therapy ready for something to change (even if they can’t quite put it into words yet).

Here, you can expect a space that’s relaxed, collaborative, and focused on what’s meaningful to you, no matter your story, background, career, or goals. We’ll clarify your values, examine the patterns keeping you stuck, and build new ways of thinking and acting that align with the life you actually want to live and the kind of relationships you actually want to have. I’ll encourage you, invite you to look at things from new perspectives, and equip you with practical tools you can put into practice right away.

I believe the most healing part of therapy is the relationship itself.

When you feel truly understood and respected, you can finally lower your guard and start making real changes. Operating from that place, I combine a variety of evidence-based approaches—CBT, interpersonal, systemic, existential, and humanistic—with direct feedback and a coaching-style approach that helps you take meaningful steps forward in your life and relationships.

You won’t find me silent or merely nodding my head in sessions. I’m an actively engaged therapist—honest, straightforward, and rooted in deep care, respect, and humor. Clients often describe me as part coach, part teacher, part cheerleader, (and on occasion even a smartass)—but always someone who shows up wholeheartedly for them.

Some days I’ll offer you tools and different ways of thinking, other days I’ll challenge you to take a step outside your comfort zone. But always, I’ll be a partner in your growth—helping you define what matters most and move toward it, one conversation at a time.

A little more about me…

  • I most enjoy watching people realize new dreams and goals as hurdles, barriers, and deficits are cast aside.

  • I am most proud of my longstanding, solid marriage and the strong relationships I have with our three adult children, all of whom are living successful and healthy lives.

  • I enjoy backgammon, hockey, jazz, 80’s rock, kayaking, and traveling in Europe.
